All of our beers are brewed with Malted Barley, and therefore contain Gluten.

Red Dragon and Winter Beacon are also brewed with Malted Wheat. some of our seasonal beers may also contain Malted Wheat - please look for more information on the relevant pages of this website.

All of our beers are clarified with Isinglass finings. Recent studies undertaken by the BFBi in order to clarify the position for the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) with regard to EU Directive 2000/13/EC have shown that Isinglass has no allergenic properties, as it is used in Brewing. Whilst Isinglass is used as a clarifying agent in the brewing process, it remains within the sediment in the base of each cask, and is not present in the glass as the beer should be served. Isinglass is not present in our bottled beers after sterile filtration. This means that Isinglass is purely a process aid, and as it is not present in the beer as it is intended to be served; it may mean that our beers are suitable for vegetarians.
